Business skills are crucial to overcome poverty in a sustainable way

Farmers learning about basic business

July, 29, 2021 – This week our second virtual business trainings program under the umbrella of the Making More Health initiative started, this time targeting small entrepreneurs from rural and urban communities living at the poverty line in Western Kenya.

The second wave

The training is based on eight sessions, each dedicated to a different aspect of business. Eight employees from a high level financial background volunteer to train people who had no chance to get qualified trainings in business management before.

A few weeks ago a similar program has been launched in Webuye to empower people with albinism who live in very poor conditions.
