“With the help of Making More Health (MMH) we are able to teach and feed teens and children in our nutrition hub,” shares Shakur, leader of the grassroots organization VICCO.

Every Saturday the children come to stay together, to learn about healthy nutrition and to eat what they have prepared.
Five hundred meter away some other children gather in the MMH garden. Here they grow vegetables and learn about the importance of good food. Also other slum habitats join and buy some fresh vegetables. With the money then new seeds and purified water supply is paid.

“Besides vegetables also pigs and ducks are reared,” he adds. “Also we are introducing kids into ducks meat in our garden as we support our nutrition hub with fresh produce from our garden.”
