Activation Week in Webuye โ€“ From Ideas to Impact! ๐Ÿ‡ฐ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿค๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช

Building a teenage mother shelter

What started years ago with a few idea exchanges on social entrepreneurial engagement and a couple of small joint projects has now grown into something truly powerful. ๐ŸŒฑ

Today, over 30 volunteers from Ireland are on the ground in Webuye and Tongaren, having raised more than โ‚ฌ100,000 to support our work with GAASPP Kenya and Core Health & Wealth International (CHW). Together, they are:
๐Ÿซ Renovating and repairing 15 schools
๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘ง Building a Teenage Mothersโ€™ Centre alongside local workers
Engaging with communities while learning, listening, teaching and building together a step toward a better future.

At the System Changer Network (SCN) Kenya, we believe that innovation and partnership start with people โ€” with open-minded individuals who see opportunities in collaboration and have the courage to act. Thatโ€™s where systemic change begins.

A heartfelt thank you to Rosie Keary and everyone from local companies and private volunteers who helped turn early conversations into real-world impact. This is what SDG 17 โ€“ Partnerships for the Goals looks like in action. ๐Ÿ’š
