Yesterday, we celebrated a milestone: our very first System Changer Network (SCN) – Open Day in Webuye, Kenya! The day brought together 8 NGOs, inspiring panel discussions, an interactive exhibition, and committed partners who showcased innovative solutions and products. The atmosphere was filled with energy, curiosity, and collaboration.

A Visit from the Governor of Bungoma County
A special highlight of the day was the visit of the Governor of Bungoma County, who joined us for more than two hours. His strong interest in our work and engagement with partners underscored the importance of connecting innovative solutions with regional leadership to create real systemic impact.

What is the System Changer Network?
SCN Kenya is a collaboration of seven NGOs, all committed to SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals. Together, we connect local solutions to address the other 16 SDGs and create a bigger, lasting impact.
Our vision:
Boldly systemic – driving change that transforms entire regions. Community-rooted – building from within, together with the people. Business-minded – ensuring NGOs are not only impactful but also financially viable.
In short: we think development differently.
Collaboration as a Catalyst
The Open Day clearly showed how powerful collaborative approaches can be. Instead of isolated projects, SCN fosters new patterns of partnership that multiply impact, accelerate change, and deliver more resilient solutions for communities.

We were especially excited to welcome one of our SCN core partners from India, showing how cross-country collaboration enriches our collective learning and impact.
Looking Ahead
SCN is about going beyond traditional project-driven models. We empower vulnerable communities by addressing multiple SDGs in parallel, building sustainable solutions that last.
